I like to fork myself

La conocí por una amiga; al escuchar su historia, me enamoré de inmediato. Fue una modelo y blogger, muy inteligente y artística en todos sus aspectos. Daul ha desfilado para los diseñadores más destacados de la actualidad, como Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen, etc. Lamentablemente, durante la mayor parte de su vida, vivió en una gran soledad, separada de su familia, debido a su carrera como modelo. Hacía mucho que ella se encontraba en una situación emocional frágil, además que sentía mucha presión en su carrera por diferentes motivos. Esto se muestra en un post realizado en su blog, en el que dice “i just know, the more i gain, the more lonely it is” (cuanto más gano, más sola estoy). Al leer ese post, sentí su tristeza y pensé cuán horrible habrá sido para ella, cuán difícil habrá sido soportar tanta soledad y tristeza. Un 19 de Noviembre del 2009, con tan solo 22 años, Daul decide escaparse de este mundo, y, como única solución, se quita la vida en su apartamento en París. El último post que hizo en su blog fue “Say Hi to forever”, y así fue, Daul decidió decirle hola a la “eternidad”.

Once a friend told me about her, and after hearing her story I fell in love immediately and also felt sad, very sad and gloomy. Daul Kim was a model and a blogger, very intelligent and artistic in every aspect. She has modeled for top designer as Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen, etc. Unfortunately, for most of her life, she lived in great loneliness, separated from her family because of her modeling career. Her emotional state was beginning to collapse and became really emotionally fragile perhaps also because of the pressure of the fashion industry she was dealing with and many other reasons that we will never know. This is shown in a post she made in her blog where it says “I just know, the more I gain, the more lonely it is”. By reading this post i felt sadness and thought how horrible it must have been for her, how hard it must be being alone in this world. On November 19, 2009, just 22 years old, Daul decides to escape from this world and as the only solution she ended with her life in her apartment in Paris. The last post she made in her blog was “Say hi to forever” and so, Daul decided to say hello to the “eternity”.
